BEYOND SÖLDEN

A change of
mountain.

The Ötztal Super Skipass covers several local ski areas from three days. These are alternatives, not automatic additions to the itinerary; assess travel time and the value of the ski day before going.

ÖTZTAL PASS AREA

Gurgl

112km of pistes, 25 lifts and an altitude range of approximately 1,800–3,030m. A credible alternative for a change of scenery, included with the Ötztal Super Skipass from three days. Published season: 19 Nov 2026–18 Apr 2027.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION

007 ELEMENTS

The cinematic installation at Gaislachkogl is included with the adult Ötztal Super Skipass from six days. The attraction is also sold separately; check opening dates, time slots and access before making a plan.

Check the official Sölden attraction listing for current opening and time-slot information.

TOP MOUNTAIN / HOCHGURGL

Motorcycle Museum

Admission to the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum is also included with the Ötztal Super Skipass from six days. It is in the Gurgl area, so allow for the journey and check seasonal opening.

Check the museum website for current opening dates and access.

LOCAL TRANSPORT

Leave the car
parked.

Guest Card & ski buses

Eligible overnight guests receive the Ötztal Guest Card, which includes winter public bus lines and ski buses. Confirm the card's issue and validity with the accommodation. Check the current winter timetable for the exact bus 320 connection and local ski-bus routes.

Getting to Innsbruck

The standard public transport route is bus F from Innsbruck Airport to the main station, train to Ötztal Bahnhof and bus 320 to Sölden. A direct Ötztal Shuttle is bookable. The exact 2026/27 winter timetable and transfer arrangements still need confirming.

HIGH-ALTITUDE CONDITIONS

One valley.
Different weather.

Do not use village weather as a proxy for glacier conditions. Compare several elevations and aspects before deciding where to ski.

1,382M

Village

Useful for arrival conditions and valley weather, but not a reliable proxy for upper mountain temperature, wind or visibility.

2,104–2,532M

Stabele & Giggijoch

Useful mid-mountain reference points for the main ski area. Compare temperature, wind and snow depth.

2,898–2,970M

Tiefenbach & Rettenbach

High glacier stations. Wind and visibility here can differ substantially from the village and lower lifts.

Live mountain checks

Use several official weather stations alongside webcams and lift/piste status. For any terrain outside marked pistes, consult the current Tyrol avalanche bulletin and make conservative decisions.

Alternative-area piste totals, opening dates, shop hours and Guest Card terms are seasonal research snapshots. Check current operator information before travelling. The Pitztal Glacier uses a separate ticket; do not assume it is covered by the Ötztal Super Skipass.
